ABOUT THE ARTIST:
I have been photographing for over fifty years. My first photograph was entered in a high school photo contest and won first place. The picture was of a very messy locker shared by a number of my friends. The funny thing is that I knew this picture was a winner, I saw the photograph before I took it.
High school provided me wih a basic understanding of the photographic process. It was at this point I built a darkroom in my garage and looked for photo assignments. I thought that was pretty good for a sixteen year old.
Holding a number of the typical photo jobs growing up I quickly realized that I wanted to photograph on my terms, no expectations other than what I wanted to achieve.
The photographs that are on this website hopefully offer a glimpse into my makeup, things that I felt should be noticed and not overlooked.
ON PHOTOGRAPHY:
As an artist my art is always evolving. The prints I print reflect my artistic vision at this time in my life. It's important to know that I'm not a machine churning out the same print hundreds of times for you, the client.
Sometimes my prints may appear somewhat differently than what's presented on my website. The main subject of the print will always be there, it just may be darker or lighter or maybe even a slightly different crop.
As I said at the beginning, my art is always evolving, when you buy one of my photographs, you're buying my vision as to how I perceived the scene (and that can sometimes change).
The bottom line is, buying one of my photographs means that you see my vision and the subject matter of my photograph, excites you.
